Beaches near Allhallows

There is access available to a small pebble beach direct from the Park. Sitting on the northern edge of the Hoo Peninsula in North Kent, overlooking the Thames Estuary, it provides a perfect location for an afternoon stroll or a spot of sunbathing. Its South East location means that it also offers some of the warmest annual temperatures available in the UK.

The nearest large beach to Allhallows is at Herne Bay, about an hour away. This is a 2-mile stretch of Blue Flag-winning shingle beach, also featuring a pier, Victorian bandstand and amusement arcades. At an approximately 45 minute drive away from Allhallows it is well worth a day trip.

Bluewater Shopping Centre – 21 miles

Indulge in some retail therapy at Bluewater Shopping Centre. From stocking up on seasonal clothing and meeting friends and family for a quick bite to eat, to taking in a film at the cinema or climbing to new heights on Treejumpers, Bluewater is the perfect place to while away a day off the Park.

Canterbury – 44.5 miles

Canterbury, home to a wealth of historic and cultural attractions, offers something to everyone both young and old. Visit St Augustine’s Abbey, originally created as a burial place for the Anglo Saxon Kings of Kent. Join Chaucer on a magical tour in The Canterbury Tales, or visit Howletts Wild Animal Park which is home to the world's largest family group of gorillas in captivity.

Leeds Castle – 27 miles

Leeds Castle, set on two islands on the River Len in the heart of Kent, has been home to royalty, lords and ladies for over 1000 years. Visitors are transported through 900 years of the castle’s history; an eclectic mix of period architecture, sumptuous interiors and family treasures waiting to be discovered. The internationally renowned aviaries offer a fascinating glimpse into the world of modern conservation and captive breeding programmes.

Rochester Castle and Cathedral – 10.5 miles

Rochester Castle is known as one of the best preserved and finest examples of Norman architecture in England. It's one of the tallest castles in the country, measuring 113 feet high, 70 feet square and up to 12 feet thick walls in places.
